Lecture by Simon Robinson, recipient of the inaugural Alastair Swayn Foundation - RMIT Architecture Affiliated Fellowship in Rome

The Alastair Swayn Foundation – RMIT Architecture Affiliated Fellowship at the American Academy in Rome provides an extraordinary opportunity for early and mid-career Australian architects, landscape architects, and design professionals to advance their practice on an international stage. The Fellow is awarded an eight-week residential experience at the American Academy in Rome.

Simon Robinson, Director of the not-for-profit multidisciplinary design and research practice, OFFICE, was awarded the inaugural Alastair Swayn Foundation – RMIT Architecture Affiliated Fellowship in 2023 for his research project Learning from Corviale. This project supports the continuation of Robinson’s existing research in Melbourne through OFFICE’s Retain, Repair, Reinvest project. The following is a video of Simon’s learnings from his research while at the American Academy in Rome in early 2024. This presentation was delivered at the RMIT Design Hub in Melbourne on 1 August 2024.
