Before his death in 2016, Alastair generously bequeathed his estate to a foundation in his name, the Alastair Swayn Foundation, to advance Australian architecture and design culture.

The Swayn Gallery of Australian Design (The Swayn) is the beneficiary of the Alastair Swayn Foundation. The Foundation and the Swayn continue Alastair’s legacy by supporting and developing the Australian architectural and design community through research, education and exhibition, and by establishing industry and international partnerships.
